Union Chapel Church Information
Union Chapel General Baptist Church was organized on September 7, 1922. It has been sometimes referred to as Rippy Church because it is located adjacent to Rippy Cemetery.
The present Pastor is Bro. James Sadler. The present deacons are Bro. Ray Bradley, Bro. Odell Clark, and Bro. Wayne Cline. We have 5 trustees and they are Bro. Jack Johns, Bro. Steve Garrison, Bro. William Thompson, Bro. Odell Clark, and Bro. Wayne Cline. The present membership is 61.
During the year, we have several functions at the church. These functions are open to the community and anyone else that wants to attend. We have special programs at Easter and Christmas. We have dinners at Thanksgiving and Christmas and breakfast after our Easter Sunrise Service. We have an Easter egg hunt, picnics in the summer, hay ride in the fall, and in 2001 we started a fish fry, we plan to make this an annual event.
We are like one big and, happy family and would like to take this opportunity to invite you to visit our Christian Family and join us for Spirit filled services.
The church is located at 1701 Fairfield, Rd. (Hwy. 174) in Westmoreland., Tennessee.
If you would like more information you may contact the Pastor, Bro. James Sadler at 615-644-5233 or Church Clerk, Brenda Johns at 615-325-6958.
